At The Imaging Center we pride ourselves on the reputation we have earned as St. Louis' premier outpatient radiology facility. The Imaging Center was established in 1988, and was the first center of its kind to serve the North County area. Over the years we have expanded our breadth of procedures while continuing to update our equipment in order to ensure that we stay on the cutting-edge of imaging technology.
We Are Held to the Highest of Standards
The Imaging Center is proud to have been awarded continual renewal terms of accreditation in CT, MRI, and Mammography as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists that are experts in the field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic-interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.

Dr. Elizabeth Huck
Dr. Huck came to The Imaging Center from St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. She completed her internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis and has over 12 years of experience as a reading radiologist for both outpatient and inpatient radiology facilities. Dr. Huck is available in person or by phone consultation on reports between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. We also have a group of Board-Certified Radiologists, who provide locum tenens coverage for Dr. Huck when needed.

Technologists
The Imaging Center’s diagnostic exams are performed by radiological technologists that are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registry qualifications include completion of a two-year academic and clinical training program and successful passage of registry board exam. Our technologists go out of their way to make the potentially frightening and intimidating radiology examination a relaxed and, hopefully pleasant experience.
Our technologists specialize in the fields of Radiology, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT).

Billing/Insurance/Precertification
As an outpatient facility, The Imaging Center offers considerable convenience and savings to patients. Our billing is done on a global basis so that patients receive one bill only, which will include the technical as well as the professional fee. Our billing department works with patients on fixed incomes to develop payment plans that suit each individual’s financial needs.

There are many different insurance carriers these days and each carrier has different pre-certification/authorization requirements. We understand the needs of our busy referring offices that often have trouble finding time to obtain necessary authorizations. Thanks to our full-time precertification specialist, all referring offices need to do is provide us with a small amount of patient information at the time of scheduling and we are often able to obtain authorization for the patient. This information may include:
