Preparing For Your Test

Every patient should make sure to bring proof of insurance. Including: insurance card/group number, ID, or Medicare Card. If your procedure is being performed as a result of Worker's Compensation or Personal Injury, please be sure to bring the claim number, date of injury, and the name/address of your attorney or insurance provider.

Every test we perform is different in regards to patient preparation. Please click the appropriate procedure below to find out what you need to do to prepare.

Your Exam Results

Our radiologists will interpret your exam promptly and send a formal report to your physician within 24 hours or less. Your physician will correlate your exam results with your clinical history to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. br /> We view ourselves as an integral part of a much greater quality healthcare plan that has been set forth by each patient’s physician. It is not our place to deliver results to a patient whom we have known for hours, as opposed to years. We fear such a policy may provide an atmosphere of confusion, rather than peace of mind. One’s personal physician should always be the first to inform a patient of his or her current condition. This process allows for the proper consultation that is necessary with many radiological exams.

The Imaging Center’s radiologists believe it is in your best interest to provide exam results directly to your personal physician; he/she has the most complete information about your health and can discuss any necessary treatment options.

Q and A

Who is reading my exam? What are their qualifications?

When your physicians review your exam, they more often than not read over the report issued by our radiologists, not the actual images. Our radiologisits are highly trained. They have graduated from an accredited medical school, passed licensing examinations, and completed at minimum 4 years of post-graduated residency study.

Our radiologists are an important factor in your overall care. They consult with your physician and aide them in the choosing of a proper examination, interpretation, and course of treatment. Our radiologists compare past studies and may reccomend appropriate follow-up tests when necessary.

How can I get a copy of my medical records or films?

When your physician recieves a copy of the report, they will inform you of the results, and at that time it would be appropriate for you to ask for a copy. The Imaging Center stores the original images and report. We will be able to provide copies for you, or someone else (i.e. attorney) , with your written authorization.

Select physicians receive copies of patient images on film or CD after an exam. There is no additional charge to the patient for this initial service. The Imaging Center will be glad to produce re-prints on film or CD to the patient for a minimal fee that covers the cost of production.

How is my privacy protected?

The Imaging Center's privacy policy practices are set in accordance with HIPPAA and Federal Privacy Regulation Standards.

Can I make my own appointment at The Imaging Center??
