Convenience
The Imaging Center is pleased to offer PACS for our referring Physicians. View your patients' images and reports online from anywhere, through our secure PACS environment. The software is user friendly and an easy setup.
Our PACS system went into full-scale operation on August 1, 2008. We have a secured profile, including the report and images, for each and every patient we have seen since that day. It does not matter when you decide to take advantage of this FREE service because your patients will already be on file. The Imaging Center would be happy to provide an in-office consultation and implementation.
If you would like to request an installation, please call us @ 314-837-2882. We can setup an account over the phone or in person.

We have been in business for over 20 years because of our ability to consistently meet the needs of our referring offices and their patients.
We know that not everybody wants to view films on a computer and sometimes the internet in your office goes out. That is why we provide studies via multiple mediums: Online, CD, traditional film.
Each office is treated on an individual, customized basis. We have a list of doctors who want reports mailed, not faxed. We have a list of those who want CDs to go with the patient and so on... Tell us what the needs are for your office and we will do our best to meet them.
The Imaging Center is not out for the quick buck by focusing on only the tests that provide us with the greatest re-imbursement. We are virtually a one-stop shop for all of your imaging needs.
We offer additional tests your office may order daily. Such as: X-Ray, Mammography, Ultrasound, DEXA, Nuclear Medicine and CT.
Furthermore, we offer tests that you may find only in a hospital setting. Such as: PET/CT, EMG, NCV, Stress Tests, Echocardiograms,
Credibility
The Imaging Center is proud to have been awarded continual renewal terms of accreditation in MRI and Mammography as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology.
The ACR, headquartered in Reston, Va., awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists that are experts in the field.
They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACR’s Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
The Imaging Center’s diagnostic exams are performed by radiological technologists that are registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registry qualifications include completion of a two-year academic and clinical training program and successful passage of registry board exam.
Our technologists go out of their way to make the potentially frightening and intimidating radiology examination a relaxed and, hopefully pleasant experience.
Reporting
We guarantee 24-hour report turnaround on all of the exams we perform. In most cases the report is faxed and available online long before 24 hours post-exam.
The Imaging Center's Official Policy On Preliminary Results:
It is the goal of The Imaging Center's staff and radiologists to provide you with the most accurate diagnosis possible. Like your doctor, we are concerned about your total health picture.
It is our policy to send exams results to your physician so that he or she can consider your entire medical history and symptoms in light of the results of your exam.
We understand that some patients may feel anxious about test results and would like to be informed of the preliminary results immediately. However, preliminary reslts can be misleading if not taken in context with your complete medical history.
Following are some shortfalls of preliminary results every patient should consider:
- No radiologist has as much information about your health and symptoms as your personal physician. That is why it is so important for your doctor to review your exam results in light of your clinical history.
- Preliminary findings can be misleading because they are not yet compared to your previous exams. Findings on today's exam may have been present on your previous exam, but you won't know if they are better or worse.
- An "abnormal" preliminary finding can cause unnecessary worry between the time of your exam and follow-up doctor visit.
- "Normal" preliminary findings may influence a patient to delay follow-up for treatment even when symptoms persist.
- Preliminary results are often a few short sentences, which may not reflect all findings. The report your physician receives is much more thorough in explaining the results of your exam.
- Your primary care physician may prefer to discuss your results with you personally, so that he or she can answer your questions and discuss the best health maintenance or treatment plans for you.
An accurate diagnosis requires many components. Physician consultation, review of medical history, blood-work analysis, and diagnostic imaging are just a few. Results of one exam alone will not always present a true picture of your health.
The Imaging Center is able to accomodate requests for preliminary results on a case-by-case basis, but it is our policy to contact your physician first and adhere to his or her recommendations regarding preliminary reports.
