EMG (Electromyography) is a test used to evaluate the electrical activity of a muscle. It tests how a muscle responds to signals from the nerves responsible for muscle movement (motor nerves). The EMG may also inclued a Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) or Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV). These tests show how quickly the motor nerve conducts impulses.

EMG tests are performed at The Imaging Center on Tuesday mornings.
